Seminar condemns Indian PM visit to Kashmir
Bagh AJK: A seminar was held at Post Graduate College Bagh under the aegis of Pasban Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir against the visit of Indian Prime Minister to Occupied Kashmir.
According to details, a seminar titled “Modi’s hands are stained with blood” was presided by Principal Dr. Professor Yasir Arafat Abbasi while the chief guest on the occasion was Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Professors of the institute including Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim, Ghulam Murtaza, Faisal Farooq Sheikh and Muhammad Fayyaz were also present on the occasion.
During the seminar, hundreds of enthusiastic students shouted slogans against Indian military occupation, Narendra Modi and also paid tribute to Burhan Wani, Maqbool Butt, Syed Ali Gillani, Ashraf Sehrai, Afzal Guru and other martyrs.
While addressing the seminar, Uzair Ahmed Ghazali said that despite all the conspiracies, Narendra Modi has failed to get the support and sympathy of the Kashmiri people during his visit.
He said that Narendra Modi has proved himself the worst enemy of the Kashmiri people by taking away their state, land and identity from the Kashmiri people on August 5, 2019.
He said that during Modi visit the whole Srinagar was besieged which does not show success but a historic defeat of Indian PM.
Ghazali said that the Kashmiri people know that the Modi government used the Indian Supreme Court for its political purposes against the state of Jammu and Kashmir and now Modi is plotting to impose the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Hindutva agenda on Kashmiri people through this court decision.
Uzair said that the people of Kashmir have rejected the coercive military rule of India, adding that the people of the state do not accept any oppression and imperialist occupation other than freedom.
Vice Chairman Usman Ali Hashim said that the Kashmiri people have been cheated by the Indian rulers in the past and now they are committed for their just cause of right to self-determination.
While describing Modi as the terrorist ruler of India, he said that the people of Kashmir will neither forget the great sacrifices of millions of martyrs of Kashmir.
He said that Modi’s visit was collectively rejected by Kashmiri people.
Principal Dr. Yasir Arafat said that the great sacrifices for the freedom of the people of Kashmir will always be remembered, the women have sacrificed their children, but the determination and courage of the women had remained un-shaken.
“Even today, these mountains are standing as a leaden wall in front of Indian coercion”, he said.
He said that the youth of Azad Kashmir feel the suffering and pain of their brothers who have been oppressed by India and are waiting for the opportunity to sacrifice themselves for the freedom of the occupied state.
Dr. termed the international community’s silence on the Kashmir issue as regrettable and described this attitude as a threat to peace of South Asia.
The speakers termed Narendra Modi’s visit as a failure and demanded to resolve the Kashmir issue according to the UNSC resolutions before long.
