Rome  : The Vice President of the Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani , the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri and the President of the Gariwo Foundation, Dr. Gabriele Nissim , will inaugurate the Avenue in front of the Ministry, previously called Viale dei Giusti, the “Garden of the Righteous of the Farnesina”.

The ceremony involves the installation of commemorative plaques of the “Righteous” who have served the Administration near the trees already present in the Avenue.

The following will be commemorated on this occasion: Guelfo Zamboni, Giuseppe Castruccio, Lucilio Merci, Vittorio Castellani Pastoris, Tommaso De Vergottini, Luca Attanasio, Vittorio Iacovacci, Mustapha Milambo and Pierantonio Costa.

The names were selected by an ad hoc commission established by the MAECI: these are missing personalities for whom proven historical and biographical elements are available which support their belonging to the category of the “Righteous”. The initiative was born on the initiative of the GARIWO Foundation, a non-profit organization whose objectives include the creation of places dedicated to personalities who have distinguished themselves for their commitment to justice and human rights.
