Islamabad : Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, Anti-Extremism Unit has asked the central authorities to shut down 462 social media accounts spreading religious and linguistic hatred.Police flagged more than 1500 accounts who involved in negative activities while Islamabad police wrote a letter to FIA to close the accounts. Among the closed accounts, 65 were religious and 47 carried anti-national propaganda.Police sources claimed that 350 blocked accounts were involved in spreading terrorist content.Another 1,060 identified accounts will also be closed soon, police sources said.
