Muzaffarabad : The 8th martyrdom day of Burhan Muzaffar Wani was observed as “Resistance Day” throughout the Jammu and Kashmir.
According to details, a contingent of 313 Kashmiri youths saluted Burhan Wani photo besides other martyrs of Kashmir and the national flags. The event was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir.
The youth played the national anthems of Pakistan and Jammu Kashmir, took an oath of resistance against India for the freedom of Occupied Kashmir.
They also organised an event in which youth participated and called it “Run for Freedom” competition to express their solidarity with the occupied Kashmiri youths.
They ran from Yadgar-e-Shohda Chatter to Burhan Muzaffar Wani Chowk.
Youngsters were wearing t-shirts with pictures of Burhan Wani Shaheed and paid tribute to Burhan Wani and other martyrs.
They were also chanting slogans of “Kashmiri youth will take freedom from India” “Freedom is our right”, “Long live Kashmiri resistance ” “Kashmir is watered with our blood, Kashmir is ours”, “This war is the war of freedom”, “Burhan your blood brought revolution” and other Anti India and pro freedom slogans.
Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Uzair Ahmed Ghazali, Leaders of Hurriyat Conference Azad Kashmir branch Zahid Saifi, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Vice Chairman Pasban-e-Hurriyat Usman Ali Hashim addressed the youth squad and said that Burhan Muzaffar Wani on July 8, 2016 in Kukarnag area was martyred while showing bravery against the Indian soldiers.
They said that entire Kashmiri nation pays homage to this great resistance fighter of freedom and Islam.
They were of the view that Burhan Wani exposed the hideous face of India in front of the world with his best role in the most difficult phase of Kashmir freedom movement.
“Wani Shaheed used social media to inform the world about the terrorism of Indian soldiers, where he told that Kashmiri people want freedom from Indian oppression”, they added.
While paying homage to the eternal struggle of Wani Shaheed, they said that the world should try to understand the anger and hatred burning against India in the hearts of millions of youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
They said that after the martyrdom of Burhan Wani, hundreds of Kashmiri youths including Dr. Sabzar, Dr. Manan Wani, Dr. Shahid, Dr. Rafi Butt, Dr. Saifullah and other highly educated youths were martyred while resisting India in the struggle of freedom.
Speakers said that India should remember that it can never succeed in crushing the struggle of the Kashmiri people through oppression.
They said that the struggle for the freedom of Kashmir will be continued in any case.
Speakers said that Burhan Wani Shaheed is a symbol of Kashmiri resistance movement and his resistance against Indian imperialism will always be remembered in history.
