The Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Murtaza Solangi, has conveyed his belief that the relationship between Pakistan and China is set to strengthen further and become more stable. During a conversation with China Media Group’s Urdu service in Beijing, following his official visit to China, Murtaza Solangi extended congratulations to the Chinese government and people on the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). He emphasized that the BRI has presented new development prospects for countries in the developing world, including Pakistan.
Regarding the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which serves as the flagship project of the BRI, Murtaza Solangi hailed it as a pivotal chapter in the bilateral ties between China and Pakistan. He noted that CPEC has brought significant investments into Pakistan’s energy, infrastructure, and communication sectors, resulting in fresh avenues for development and employment opportunities.
Murtaza Solangi also highlighted that Pakistan is entering a new phase of CPEC, with projects like ML-I commencing. He anticipated that these projects would mark a significant milestone in Pakistan’s railway services and introduce novel opportunities for both employment and development.
Furthermore, the minister expressed his confidence that the upcoming visit of Pakistan’s top leadership to China in October would usher in a new era in the relations between the two nations. He underscored that despite the evolving global political landscape, the Pakistan-China relationship continues to strengthen with each passing day.
