Vice Admiral Naveed Ashraf has been officially appointed as the new Naval Chief. The change of command ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday in Islamabad.
Vice Admiral Naveed Ashraf was commissioned into the Operations Branch of the Pakistan Navy in 1989. He holds qualifications from prestigious institutions including the National Defense University in Islamabad, the US Naval War College, and the UK’s Royal College of Defense Studies.
Throughout his career, Vice Admiral Naveed Ashraf has served in crucial command and staff positions. Presently, he holds the position of Chief of Staff at Naval Headquarters. In recognition of his exceptional professional service and valor, he has been honored with the Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-i-Basalat awards.
