Pakistan has called for collective efforts to combat transnational crimes

Pakistan has urged for collective action to combat transnational organized crimes that hinder the rule of law, economic development, and the achievement of global sustainable development goals. This call was made by Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Aamir Khan, during a session of the General Assembly’s Committee on Humanitarian, Social, and Cultural Issues.

The discussion in the committee revolved around crime prevention, criminal justice, and countering the misuse of information and communication technologies for criminal purposes.

To effectively address organized crimes, the Pakistani envoy emphasized the need for a holistic approach that addresses root causes, promotes social inclusion, and ensures equal access to justice for all. This approach can play a crucial role in combating transnational crimes and promoting global security and development.
