The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted nine operations resulting in the seizure of 212 kilograms of drugs and the apprehension of nine suspects

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out a series of nine operations across the country, resulting in the recovery of a substantial 212 kilograms of illicit drugs and the arrest of nine individuals, as reported by an ANF Headquarters spokesman on Friday.

In one operation near M-1 Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad, ANF seized 76.8 kilograms of hashish and 40.7 kilograms of opium from a vehicle. Two individuals, both residents of Islamabad, were apprehended during the operation.

Another operation in Bahria Town Phase-1 led to the recovery of 100 grams of cocaine from a vehicle belonging to a local resident. Additionally, two more individuals who were allegedly facilitating the drug trade were arrested, based on information obtained from the primary suspect.

The third operation, conducted on GT Road in Gujarat, resulted in the discovery of 2.3 kilograms of hashish concealed in a car. Two individuals, residents of Nowshera and Swat, were taken into custody during this operation.

In the fourth operation, ANF confiscated 200 grams of Ice drug from a resident near Sialkot University. The suspect, hailing from South Waziristan, was arrested at Multan Airport while attempting to board flight number PA-812. During the arrest, 115 grams of hashish concealed within shoes and walnut shells were also recovered.

Additionally, 240 Ecstasy tablets were found in a parcel at a courier office in Hayatabad. The recovered tablets were intended to be smuggled to Multan, cleverly hidden within a juicer blender.

A significant drug haul of 5 kilograms of hashish, 6 kilograms of Ice, and 80 kilograms of crystals were discovered in a vehicle and a residence in the Pasni area of Balochistan.

In response to these operations, cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been registered against all the accused, with further investigations currently underway. The ANF remains committed to combatting drug trafficking and related crimes, safeguarding communities and upholding the law.
