Prime Minister Kakar Emphasizes Economic Revival and Security in Interview

Radio Pakistan:Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq stresses the importance of maintaining consistent policies and implementing an economic revival plan to ensure Pakistan’s stability. In an interview with PTV anchorpersons, he expresses hope for political consensus on this matter.

Regarding terrorism, the Prime Minister highlights Pakistan’s success in countering it, emphasizing that terrorists have never been able to gain a foothold on Pakistani soil. He praises the effectiveness of counter-insurgency policies and the determination of security forces to eradicate terrorism.

He underscores the need to strengthen civilian institutions alongside the military, emphasizing their equal importance.

Concerning general elections, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar affirms that the Election Commission of Pakistan holds the authority to announce election dates, and the caretaker government is committed to assisting the ECP in ensuring free, fair, and impartial elections. The caretaker government aims to improve service delivery mechanisms and set an example for elected administrations.

On the Israel-Palestine conflict, the Prime Minister reiterates Pakistan’s clear stance in support of a two-state solution based on the aspirations of the Palestinian people. He emphasizes that resolving this issue is crucial for peace in the Middle East but notes Israel’s reluctance to accept the two-state solution, which complicates the situation.
