Today, on October 10, 2023, we are commemorating the second death anniversary of the renowned nuclear scientist, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, often referred to as the “Mohsin-e-Pakistan.” Dr. Khan was born on April 1, 1936, in Bhopal, India.
His groundbreaking contributions played a pivotal role in establishing Pakistan as a formidable nuclear power, becoming not only the first nuclear power in the Muslim world but also the seventh globally.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan received numerous honors and awards throughout his life, including the prestigious Nishan Pakistan, in recognition of his invaluable services.
Sadly, he passed away on this very day in 2021 in Islamabad, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the field of nuclear science and national defense.
