Peshawar : At Pak Afghan border Angor Adda gate, four major tribes of Ahmadzai Wazir staged a protest from the last two days, about the suspension of trade at the gate and all other legitimate demands.
It was unanimously decided in the Jirga that from 4 o’clock today, the traffic of vehicles from both sides will be stopped at Angoor Ada Gate in protest. Apart from Zali Khel, Toji Khel, Gangi Khel and Khojal Khel, tribe all political parties, Wana councilor alliance, business community, trade union participated in the protest in large numbers.
On this occasion Malik Muhammad Umar Wazir, VC Chairman Angoor Adda Maulana Muhammad Sharif, Maulana Tasbih Ullah, National Democratic Movement South Waziristan Lower Said Muhammad Wazir, Wana Councilors alliance President Sahib Khan Wazir, and Malik Bobrai Wazir said.
That last year unanimously presented 18 demands to the local authorities and the authorities assured to resolve them soon and it has not been resolved till date.
Malik Bobrai announced that all entrances and exits of Wana Angoor Adda Bazar will be closed from today, and also made it clear that Angoor Adda Customs office will be closed in protest.
There will be no public relations with government officials, in case of violation, a fine of 50,000 will be imposed. A committee consisting of 200 people was formed by the protesters. The protesters presented 18 demands to the government through the media, which are as follows.
Functional all government educational institutions in Angoor Adda and steps should be taken to make health centers functional within 15 days. At the gate, the local people of Angoor Adda should be allowed to have a lump. Restore the telecommunication system in the area
Unchecking should be allowed at the fruit on khamrang check post of orchards of Angoor Adda and surrounding areas. Afghans should be allowed Tazkira on medical grounds. All ID card holders should be exempted from Khamrang check post checking. Vehicles should be increased at the gate for import and export. Facilities should be provided at the NLC terminal for clearing agents. Whereas coal should be allowed on a daily basis at NADRA Centre, Gate on an emergency basis for Angoor Adda people.
The participants unanimously decided that if the government does not accept all these demands, then the protest will continue
