RDA warned sponsors to immediately stop marketing of illegal housing schemes.
RAWALPINDI, : On the directions of the Director General, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate RDA has issued notices to the owners of five illegal private housing schemes namely Mr. Malik Muhammad Ramzan owner of Cargo Village Housing Scheme in Mouza Katarian near Aiport Islamabad, Mr. Ali Shah owner of Hum Watan Enclave in Mouza Misriot near Misriot Dam Rawalpindi, Mr. Tajammal Hussain Khanial owner of Green Hawks in Mouza Bhal at Chak Beli Khan Road to Chontra Road, Mr. Sahbbir Amin owner of Inmole Garden in Mouza Misriot, and Mr. Abdur Razzaq Chaudhry owner of Ameen Housing Scheme in Mouza Pind Ranjha, RDA spokesman said.
He said the DG RDA has also directed the Director MP&TE that action may be taken against illegal advertisements and marketing and First Information Report (FIRs) will also be filed against the owners of illegal housing schemes.
Moreover, the sponsors are also warned immediately to stop the marketing of their unapproved / illegal housing schemes and should contact RDA for getting NOC / approval of the scheme as per law, otherwise, strict legal action will be taken against them.
He said that on the directions of the DG RDA, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the public is advised in their interest to avoid making any kind of investment in illegal and unauthorized housing schemes. He said that the public is also advised to check from RDA before investing in housing schemes. It can also be checked on the RDA website www.rda.gop.pk.
He said that the owners and sponsors of illegal housing schemes are misleading the public through advertisements. In this regard, the Planning Wing RDA has also requested the Cyber Crime Wing, FIA to take legal action against the illegal and misleading advertisements of illegal housing schemes to prevent the public from falling in their scams.
He said the above-mentioned offences committed by the owner of illegal housing scheme and also cognizable under rule 37 of Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Schemes Rules, 2021. Legal action will be taken against them.
