PNCA hosts national songs musical performances in connection with Defence Day

Islamabad : Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) hosted a national songs musical performances titled “Ye Rahi Haq K Shahidoo” in connection with Pakistan Defence Day celebrations.
Jamal Shah, Interim Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture graced the concert as chief guest here at PNCA auditorium.
Renowned vocalists including Karan Khan, Mehdi Raza with Orchestra, Jia Nauman, Nadir Abbas, Nauman Lashari, Moeed Hashmi, Kainat Kian, Ustad Shafqat Salamat Khan and Madam Gulshan Jahan and Ustad Ghulam Abbas paid homage to national heroes through popular National songs, while National Performing Arts Group (NLPG) also performed on National songs.
The vocalists got big applause from the audience at jam packed PNCA auditorium.
In his remarks, Federal Minister National Heritage and Culture Jamal Shah said that 6 September is a golden chapter in the history of Pakistan, when Pakistan, its armed forces and and people stood united in 1965 in defence of the country.
He said that it is celebrated in the memory of martyred who gave sacrifices of their life for the defense of the country.
The Minister said that Pakistan celebrates Defence Day for telling the natives about the bravery of people at the critical time and was proud of offering sacrifices of their lives for the defence of the country.
He emphasized that today’s gathering is to remember and honor the sacrifices of martyrs and ‘Ghazis’, adding that our brave martyrs, who laid down their lives for the sake of the nation, will always remain in our hearts and will never be forgotten.
He regretted that miscreants attacked on Jinnah House and military installations on 9th May and disgraced martyrs, adding that the miscreants broke the statue of Captain Karnal Sher Khan and disgraced the honour of our heroes.
Earlier, Director General PNCA Muhammad Ayub Jamali welcomed the audience in the jam packed PNCA Auditorium.
