Islamabad, A 5 days professional training workshop is currently on-going under the title “INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE” for 17 engineers and specialists in rural infrastructures, design, GIS and other technical aspects involved in the programme ETI-GB – Economic Transformation Initative funded by Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Gilgit.
It is hosted and organized by Pakistani National Agricultural Reasearch Center (NARC).
This very important workshop aims at sharing knowledge and abilities related to different aspects of the project’s activities; in particular, modules will include Major Climate Change Risks and Potential Strategies to Adapt to Climate Change, Geographic Information System (GIS), Advance Engineering Survey & Real-time Landscape, Tunnel Farming Technology using High Efficiency Irrigation System, Design, Installation & management of solar operating High Efficiency Irrigation system, Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) from concept to practice, Global Mapper & Autocad, Design parameters & Guidelines of Responsive Drip Irrigation (RDI) and Nano Pipe Irrigation System.
