Beijing (APP): The third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation is set to take place in Beijing on October 17-18, as announced by the Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying. Chinese President Xi Jinping will participate in the opening ceremony, deliver a keynote address, and host a welcoming banquet for foreign leaders and heads of international organizations attending the forum. The event will consist of an opening ceremony, three high-level forums focusing on connectivity, green development, and the digital economy, along with six thematic forums covering trade and people-to-people connectivity. There will also be discussions on think tank exchanges, Silk Road initiatives, sub-national maritime cooperation, and a CEOs conference. The second Belt and Road Forum, held in Beijing from April 25 to 27, 2019, saw the participation of over 6,000 attendees from more than 150 countries and 92 international organizations.
