President Dr. Arif Alvi Calls for Increased Cooperation with Morocco Across Diverse Fields

President Dr. Arif Alvi has emphasized the need for enhancing cooperation with Morocco, particularly in the domains of trade, investment, and the economy. He made this statement during a meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Morocco, Muhammad Sami-ur-Rehman, at the Presidential office in Islamabad.

President Alvi noted that Pakistan and Morocco share a history of common interests, which should serve as a foundation for strengthening their bilateral ties further. He highlighted the importance of increasing high-level visits between the two nations to reinforce cooperation in various areas.

The President also drew attention to the establishment of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, a platform aimed at streamlining and facilitating investments. He encouraged Morocco to take advantage of Pakistan’s business-friendly environment.

In another context, President Alvi met with Pakistan’s Permanent Representative-designate to the United Nations in Geneva, Dr. Bilal Ahmad. During their discussion, he urged Dr. Ahmad to actively engage with the UN system to advance Pakistan’s national interests and priorities. He emphasized the importance of using the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) platform in Geneva to amplify the voice of the Muslim Ummah on crucial issues, including Islamophobia, as well as the challenges faced by Kashmiris and Palestinians.
