Pakistan Prime Minister Emphasizes Importance of Infrastructure for Tourism Development

Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar of Pakistan has highlighted the significance of infrastructure development for the growth of tourism in the country. During discussions with Wang Haihuai, the CEO of China Communications Construction Company, and Du Fei, Chairman of China Road and Bridge Corporation, in Beijing, the Prime Minister underscored the role of railway and road infrastructure in Pakistan’s tourism sector.

Prime Minister Kakar noted that the government is actively working on infrastructure development across Pakistan. In particular, he emphasized the importance of railway and road networks in facilitating the growth of tourism, a vital industry for Pakistan’s economic development.

The Chinese officials shared details with the Prime Minister about the ongoing projects undertaken by China Communications Construction Company and China Road and Bridge Corporation in Pakistan as part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). These projects encompass various sectors, including infrastructure and construction.

During the meeting, both Chinese companies expressed strong interest in expanding their investments in Pakistan, spanning infrastructure development, renewable energy, and other sectors. The Prime Minister warmly welcomed the enthusiasm and commitment of these Chinese firms to increase their investments in Pakistan.

This interaction underscores the collaboration and partnerships between Pakistan and China in building essential infrastructure and promoting economic development in the region.
